The importance of keeping it local

Local shopping centres link neighbours socially. Soon the Warralily community will enjoy their own local Village that will become the heart of community life.  The main-street style retail hub includes an open, north-facing piazza and casual dining perfect for catching up with family and friends.

Local businesses also help to give a community its flavour. They are part of what makes a neighbourhood different from other neighbourhoods. Supporting local businesses helps to ensure that uniqueness is encouraged to grow and develop in harmony with the population.

Local businesses drive the local economy, which enriches the whole community. They provide on-the-job training opportunities, create local employment, support local suppliers and give back to local clubs and causes. This leads to a personal connection and approach that often means optimal customer service and satisfaction.
Local stores are also great for the environment. The option to walk or cycle to pick up supplies is essential to improving air and water quality by reducing reliance on motor vehicles.

The Village Warralily will deliver all of these benefits and more to local residents.  The outstanding community centerpiece will feature major retailers Woolworths and ALDI, along with a host of specialty outlets, a medical and dental practice, pharmacy, a gym and food outlets. The shopping hub is also conveniently located alongside the state-of-the-art Armstrong Creek Education Precinct, Sports Precinct, Bluebird Early Education and a child and maternal healthcare centre.

In coming weeks we will see completion of Warralily Boulevard and associated foot and cycle paths, connecting all Warralily residents through to the Surf Coast Highway to the future retail, sport and education precincts.
Warralily’s new local businesses and suppliers will help to foster local connections, increase the prosperity of their community, and provide a better level of service and full and part-time local employment.
Keeping it local helps to make your community a better place to live
