Geelong first-home buyers to win as state government doubles regional owners grant

GEELONG first-home buyers will get a $20,000 kickstart from July to help get into the housing market. The State Governent today is set to announce a doubling of the First Home Owners Grant for regional Victoria.The increase in the grant from $10,000 is expected to help up to 6000 young buyers in the next three years.

Future Secured For Oberon High School

Minister for Education James Merlino today visited the precinct site to announce the school’s relocation and see concrete poured for a new P-6 primary school and P-12 special school that will open there in 2018.

Armstrong Creek Education Precinct Frequently Asked Questions

The Armstrong Creek Education Precinct will open for students in Term 1, 2018.
The Precinct will comprise of Prep-Grade 6 mainstream education provision and Prep – Year 12 special education provision on the one site at Armstrong Creek It is being delivered through the New Schools Public Private Partnership Project. The Department of Education and Training will be consulting the local school community about the approach to inclusive education at Armstrong Creek and the needs of the community and future students.

FESTIVE WARRALILY has invited the community to come and join in the fun of its 2015 Christmas Spectacular next weekend. The event, to be held in the Warralily Coast estate, will feature The Voice luminaries Harrison Craig and Michael Stangel. 

The entertainment line-up will also feature Sophia Katos, David Van Elst, the Deadly Dancers and more than 100 other performers from local schools and community groups, including Lutheran COAST College, West Coast Calisthenics, Grovedale West Primary School, Grovedale College, and Mount Duneed Regional Primary School.
