The grant is applies to new builds up to $750,000 for income singles earning up to $125,000 and couples earnung up to $200,000. The scheme will not apply to owner-builders or those who are planning to build a new home as an investment property. The grant will be offered for contracts entered into between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020. Construction must be contracted to begin within three months of the contract date to be eligible. HomeBuilder complements the existing $20k First Home Owner Grant available at Warralily, as well as the Commonwealths First Home Loan Deposit Scheme and First Home Super Saver Scheme.
...The Victorian Government is extending the $20,000 First Home Owner Grant for people buying or building a new home in regional Victoria for an extra 12 months.Treasurer Tim Pallas today announced that the regional grant – which had been due to end in June –will be extended until the middle of 2021.
