$25,000 HomeBuilder Scheme

The $25,000 HomeBuilder grant announced by the Federal Government will commence from 4th June 2020. The grant is applies to new builds up to $750,000 for income singles earning up to $125,000 and couples earnung up to $200,000. Crucially, the tax-free grant will apply to all owner-occupiers - not just first home buyers. The scheme will not apply to owner-builders or those who are planning to build a new home  as an investment property. The grant will be offered for contracts entered into between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020. Construction must be contracted to begin within three months of the contract date to be eligible. HomeBuilder complements the existing $20k First Home Owner Grant available at Warralily, as well as the Commonwealths First Home Loan Deposit Scheme and First Home Super Saver Scheme.

Good News for First Home Buyers

The Victorian Government is extending the $20,000 First Home Owner Grant for people buying or building a new home in regional Victoria for an extra 12 months.Treasurer Tim Pallas today announced that the regional grant – which had been due to end in June –will be extended until the middle of 2021.

In 2017, the Labor Government doubled the regional First Home Owner Grant from $10,000 to $20,000
to help Victorians realise their real estate dreams.Since then, more than 8,800 regional First Home Owner Grants have been provided, saving Victorian families $176 million.

Removal of the Alcoa Anglesea to Point Henry Transmission Line Assets

We are pleased to announce that Alcoa has awarded Beon Energy Solutions the contract for the decommissioning and removal of Alcoas 220kV transmission line assets in Armstrong Creek. Stage one In the week consists of the removal of the power lines between towers 56 to 65 from Lower Duneed Road and Boundary Road in Armstrong Creek. The towers will be removed immediately after and will take approximately four weeks.  Works will commence 22 October subject to weather and there will be some short term disruption to local residents during this period.

ARMSTRONG CREEKS first mega housing estate at Warralily has enough land supply to last another four years.

Estate manager Ben Stewart said based on recent demand, development of the estate is several years ahead of original forecasts.

“Based on current demand, planned completion is now only three to four years away, with under 2000 lots remaining,” Mr Stewart said.

The entertainment line-up will also feature Sophia Katos, David Van Elst, the Deadly Dancers and more than 100 other performers from local schools and community groups, including Lutheran COAST College, West Coast Calisthenics, Grovedale West Primary School, Grovedale College, and Mount Duneed Regional Primary School.
