Great Ocean Road

Just one of the amazing locations near Warralily is our national treasure, The Great Ocean Road. The Great Ocean Road offers a diverse range of attractions and activities for all ages. Whether it’s admiring the spectacular landscape from above in a charter plane, to mountain biking though the forest along the breathtaking tracks, there is something to suit everybody.
Among the Great Ocean Roads most well know attractions, are the 12 Apostles. The 12 Apostles are located near the Port Campbell National Park, while 5 of the original 12 Apostles have now fallen, the 8 remaining limestone pillars stand up to 45 meters tall. They demonstrate the true force of nature, having been separated from the shore line by centuries of erosion. Many lookouts have been positioned in various vantage points to observe the stunning scenery.

Another of the amazing jewels of the Great Ocean Road is the Great Otway National Park. Spanning all the way from Torquay to Princetown, it encapsulates a diverse array of scenery, from pristine beaches, to rugged forests. It provides various track and roads to view its majestic beauty, be it via car, foot, horse or bike. This park provides numerous activities and walking tracks for all fitness levels and has a great variety of camping options for its visitors.

While there are many beautiful waterfalls to visit along the Great Ocean Road, Triplet Falls is one in particular that’s a must see. Triplet falls is a picturesque waterfall, accusable via a 2km walking track (Approx. 1hr walk). Along the track, you will find remnants of a bygone era, with many artefacts from historical logging expeditions, such as boilers and log carts left behind. These items have now become one with the landscape, nestled against the majestic ferns and trees, many of which are dated as over 200 years old.

These are just a small sample of the plethora of places to visit along the great ocean road. Warralily is located just over 40 minutes from the Great Ocean Road, making it easily accessible for you to explore each and every one of its stunning attractions.

A healthy, happy community is often the result of residents getting involved and working collaboratively.  Lasting positive social change often starts with people referred to as ‘change agents’.
Geelong residents have a multitude of options when it comes to shopping but nothing beats being able to pop down to the local store. And while proximity is important, as Warralily’s community development officer, I’m excited by the benefit that keeping it local has on enhancing community life.

I first thought I would write a blog on the top 10 tips of property investing or the 5 biggest pitfalls to avoid. Instead I’m going to pose a question, a question that I had to answer before deciding to invest? WHY? Why are you considering investing in property and what is the overriding factor driving you to do so? Do you see a niche, or a bargain or a new property hot spot ready to take off?
So, you have chosen your little patch of dirt, now it’s time to choose the house and more pertinent to this blog, it’s time to choose your builder.
This decision can be a challenging one as you certainly won’t lack for options in what is a very competitive market place. Depending on budget you could pick from over two dozen builders display homes at Warralily and in the Greater Geelong region.
