Summer is Spectacular at Warralily

If you are wanting to keep the kids occupied over the school holidays there are plenty of things to do in and around Warralily. 

Summer is Spectacular at Warralily The Warralily Summer Spectacular will once again be providing a range of family friendly events. Over the past five years, Warralily has put on a range of exciting events each January school holidays from Pantomime in the Park, with the three bears being upstaged by the Mik Maks to the Katy Perry / TSwizzel tribute shows.
This year’s Summer Spectacular calendar will not disappoint with plenty of free family activities from the 5th January to the 5th February 2017.

Picnic and Pistols in the park kicks off the fun on the 5th of January with a community picnic and good old fashion summer fun. Bring you water pistol and get ready to super soak your friends and neighbours at Warralily Parkland on Barwon Heads Road.
In celebration of the great open spaces at Warralily including the majestic Armstrong Creek there are plenty of activities to keep fit while having fun with a Creekside Bike Ride and Bats and Balls in the park events, while you can watch the professionals do the hard yards on the screen, while listening to some classic Aussie beats and as they ride the Barwon Heads Road leg of the Cadel Evans Road Race at Bike & Beats on the 29th January.

One of the headline events not to be missed is Magic is Warralily a wondrous day out for all the family. Join us for a magical day at Warralily Sunday 22nd January 12-4pm for a FREE event! Peak into magical suitcases full of amazing tricks and marvel at their acrobatic balancing twists. Giggle and wiggle to funky tunes that get you up off your pants and ready to dance! Enjoy inspirational cultural stories that inspire kids of all ages, see the Funky Monkeys magic extravaganza and the Kazzam magic show, circus play interactive demonstrations, giant bubble workshop, stilt walkers and more!

Finally to celebrate the end of the holidays and the grand opening of our brand new Display Village you can’t miss Destination Warralily. It is sure to be an afternoon of fun, food & entertainment all with an International flavour. Children and adults alike can enjoy roving performers from air hostess on roller skates to mine artists and stilt walkers, African drummers, live music, rides and food vans throughout the day, while a trackless train will be on hand to transport guests around the village. Plus enter our competition to win a $5,000 Flight Centre for your next family holiday!

Of course the spectacular summer doesn’t stop at Warralily. Explore a bit further outside the community and you can’t go past our world-famous beach towns of Barwon Heads & Torquay. Both a great spots for shopping, casual dining and of course the cool blue waters of the ocean for a refreshing dip to beat the summer heat. Both are 10mins down the road from Warralily.

Summer isn’t summer without Ice Cream. Another great outing would have to be a visit to the Great Ocean Road Chocolatier & Ice Creamery. This impressive business has only been open since September 2016, but it has become a destination of choice for not just locals but countless tourists starting their journey down the Great Ocean Road.

For those of you wanting to work off some of the Christmas and New Year excess you can participate in a variety of fun runs around the region, with one of the favourites being the Bells Beach Cliff run. This annual event is a fundraiser for the Jan Juc Surf living club and is held this year on Friday the 13th of January at 6:30pm.
